The Silver Banana Necklace is a minimal necklace with a small banana pendant and an oxidized finish. The necklace is made from 925 Sterling Silver and is hallmarked verifying its quality.

The Surrealism art movement depicted unnerving, illogical scenes, creating a new world through radical ways of thinking. This style of artwork has heavily influenced our Surrealism Collection, with the use of everyday objects transformed into precious metal jewelry. Insects & plants create a sense of familiarity whilst also maintaining the fun and implausible characteristics of the Surrealism movement.

The Banana Necklace is inspired by the Surrealist artwork "The Uncertainty of the Poet", where a torso statue stands frozen in time, next to a moving train & perishable bananas, suggesting a sense of urgency and the immediate. Whilst being a symbol of time in this painting, a banana is also a fun and novelty pendant that can be worn as an every day piece of jewelry

The small banana pendant measures 16mm and has an oxidized finish. The pendant hangs from a slim rolo chain which can be adjusted from 46cm up to 52cm and is finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp.
