Our MACHUS Shop candles are developed in-house and hand-poured in Portland, Oregon. They are inspired by our Pacific Northwest surroundings. 

Candle Scents

Alder
Named after our street in Portland's historic West End and designed to invoke the aroma of our 1908 building with notes of worn leather, cigar, cardamom, vanilla.

Ochoco
Named after the Ochoco National Forest in South Central Oregon.
Fresh Oregon lavender compliments the complex scents of sandalwood, amber and musk. 

Opal
Named after the Opal Creek Wilderness Area. It's one of Oregon's old growth forests and in 2020 had a fire ravage large swathes of its land. We added eucalyptus to the candle as its a natural air purifying scent but kept the cedarwood and musk to make you feel like you're in the forest. 

Portland Rain
An iconic scent of the Pacific Northwest. 
Clean and fresh, reminiscent of the air after a light rain. 

Rogue
Named after the Rogue Valley in Oregon. It's one of Oregon's several old growth forests that also happens to have a world-class fly fishing river.
The Rogue candle features botanical juniper blended with woodsy cypress and oak. Light undertones of red currant. 

West End
The West End candle features the scents of fresh cotton, amber, musk and patchouli. Smells like fresh laundry!

Burning Instructions
Allow your candle to burn for approximately 2 hours, or until the wax reaches the edges of the container, the first time you burn it. This will give your candle a good ‘memory’ so that it burns evenly for the remainder of its lifespan. Then burn the candle for no less than 1 hour, and no more than 4 hours.
Keep the wick trimmed to 1⁄4” to help prevent smoking and soot build-up. 
Keep the candle out of direct sunlight. Soy wax has a low melting point and candles will melt in extreme heat and direct sun.

We are not allowed to ship candles internationally due to carrier laws.
