The Surrealism art movement depicted unnerving, illogical scenes, creating a new world through radical ways of thinking. Insects & plants create a sense of familiarity whilst also maintaining the fun and implausible characteristics of the Surrealism movement.
The Bamboo Necklace is inspired by this Surrealist principle, taking a familiar texture and transforming it into Sterling Silver. Each link depicts a strand of bamboo, sculpted to a 3D shape and engraved with dark lines. The necklace has an oxidized finish to highlight the details and gives an aged, vintage look.
